Cult of Luukos Tabard

Cult of Luukos

Rules, Regulations and Misc. Info

1.0 Roleplaying:

1.1. Role playing is a must within the Cult of Luukos. We play on an RP-PVP server, so why else wouldn't you roleplay? Within Battle grounds, RPing is not strictly enforced, but it is very much encouraged. We realize you may be trying to kill too much to RP, but make a conscious effort. Within the rest of the world, however, RPing is a must for all members.

1.2. Guild chat is to remain in character (IC). If something absolutely must be said OOC use the (( )) brackets between your sentences. If a conversation lasts more than 3 paragraphs, please take the conversation to private chat, so as not to cloud the guild chat with inane chatter. Remember, the guild chat is role-played as a psychic link amongst Luukos' followers, so please be courteous to others in the guild. If asked to take a conversation to private, please comply.

1.3. Remember, we are a guild of a somewhat "evil" alignment, so please remember that "bubble gum" or "cutesy" play will be seriously frowned upon. Try and remain a serious RPer at all times, because you are not only representing yourself, but your guild mates as well. Keep that in mind, please, since we wish to become well-known for our serious play and mature attitude.

1.4. If you are having troubles thinking of a character or role playing style, visit the role playing tips on the web page, or simply ask another member of the guild for some advice. Many of us have much experience with role playing and we will be more than willing to help out anyone in the guild that wishes to learn. We are not expecting everyone to be novelists,
but if you show some effort, you won't ever have a problem while in this guild.

1.5. Any alternate character (alt) that you have is allowed in the guild, provided that you play them as a seperate character. We do not want carbon copies of the same character in the guild, so please remember to make any Alt have a distinct personality from your main.

1.6. /Say will be IC, guild chat will be IC, /Yell will be IC. /tell can be IC or OOC, depending on you. The channels in towns such as general and looking for a group are for OOC purposes. /party or /raid will be depending on the situation and if the majority choose to make it IC.

1.7. Defaming the name of Luukos, either in joke or otherwise will not be tolerated. We roleplay him as our Lord and Master, and the Clerics, Bishops, and Pontiff are simply his authority within the physical world. Remember that In Character, he is the true leader of the Guild, even though Out of Character the Clerics, Bishops, and Pontiff are the ones in
charge of recruiting, kicking, and pretty much sorting through all the crap that goes with running a guild.

1.8. If at any time you have an idea for the guild, be it a plot line you wish to incorporate into the guild, or any general ideas, please write it on the message board. It will be easier to relay feedback through the forums, rather than through private message. As well, if it's on the message board, it'll be easier to discuss and/or take opinion polls concerning what
direction we wish the guild to take.

2.0 General Rules of Thumb:

2.1. All guild members will at all times respect your other members and leaders. We do not tolerate personal attacks of any kind. If a member was attacked, contact a Cleric or someone higher. If it was in tells or where we didn't see it, please screenshot for proof. We do not tolerate disrespect in Cult of Luukos and punishment will follow depending on what happened.

2.2. All guild members are required to maintain a high level of activity within the guild. This means being online, and willing to participate in guild events. The point of having a guild is for a sense of community and so that feats can be attained which would be almost impossible otherwise.
For those members whose online time exceeds the time period of 1 month (30 days) without a requested leave of absence will be removed from the guild. Speak with a Bishop or Deicide if you have to take some time off.

2.3. Commonly, the guild will be holding initiation ceremonies/guild raids on Alliance towns/instance runs/etc. Participation is not a must, but is very strongly recommended. The people who attend these events more frequently will be called on first for these scheduled activities. All announcements concerning these events will be placed on the message board and on the guild message of the day prior to the event. Those that do not participate as frequently as others may miss out on opportunities to participate as well as advancement in the guild.

2.4. The so called "drama queen" has no place in this guild. We have all seen what guild drama can do to people and organizations so we want to keep it to a minimum. Anyone who continually stirs up arguments, flaming, and any other sort of unrest will first be given a warning, and then will be asked to leave. Nobody wants large amounts of guild drama and we will try to keep it to a minimum in this guild. This also means that you do not beg for groups day in and day out. Remember, people have their own goals to accomplish, and may not always have the time to help run an instance, or help the lower levels out all the time. If you cannot find help from the guild, do not whine about it, simply find a pick up group. You're only wasting your own time by begging and pleading, as well as annoying others. Also, begging for money may get you a tongue lashing in private.

2.5. If for some reason you have a problem with the way the guild is being run, please bring it to our attention via private message. Please don't clutter guild chat with flaming swear words about who you hate and why. Let a Cleric or higher guild member know, and we will do our best to discuss it with you in a mature and timely fashion. If for some reason, you have a dispute that we will not or cannot change, then perhaps Cult of Luukos is simply not the best place for you. Constructive criticism is always encouraged, since we wish to be an ever-evolving guild, however we cannot comply with every demand out there.

2.6. Ninja looting will not be tolerated, be it within the guild or within a pick up group. If for some reason, we hear of a certain member ninja-ing loot, the claim will be investigated and if found guilty, will be removed immediately. You are always allowed to plead your case, however the ultimate decision rests upon the shoulders of the Bishops and Deicide.
If the infraction is amongst a group of guild members, please have witnesses before accusing. False accusations will give you as bad of a reputation as those that are ninja-ing. Remember, you represent the guild at all times, so please refrain from ninja looting.

2.7. All reprimands will be handled in private. None shall ever lash out at another member in guild or party chat. This shows absolutely no respect for the person in question, as well as the others in the guild. We strive for maturity and anything that happens is nobody's business save for those involved.

2.8. There will be no selling in the guild via guild chat. If you have something to sell, please do it on the auction link on our message board. To elaborate, asking someone for leathers is all right, but saying, "Selling the Axe of Untimely doom for 1000 gold!" is not in good form, and just clutters guild chat which should be In Character anyways. Please, use the
auction; we appreciate you wanting to sell to guild members first, but a bidding war in the middle of guild chat will only cause clutter and/or arguing.

2.9. Aside from being a RP guild, we are also a PVP guild. If during your travels you see another guild member being ganked by alliance, you MUST help them out, even if it means your own death. If you are being corpse camped, send an OOC note in guild chat, and we will come to your aid as soon as we can. Of course, if the majority of the guild is in an instance, then this will be difficult to do, so please realize this while you're asking for help.

3.0 Recruitment and Advancement:

3.1. As it stands, only Clerics and above may invite members to the guild. Upon recruitment, please tell Deicide or Parasitic who you have invited into the guild so that we may place a note beside the new recruit's name as to who sponsored them into the guild. Remember, we strive for role playing seriousness as well as game play seriousness, so please only invite those that you think will fit well within our guidelines. Mature people only, please. If you are not a Cleric and you know someone who you think would be good for the guild and is interested in joining, please contact a Cleric, Bishop or Deicide and we will interview the people to see if they are in fact a good addition to the team.

3.2. We realize that some people may not want to have the burden of responsibility placed on their shoulders by advancing in the guild, but for those that do, advancement is simple: show a sense of maturity at all times, participate in guild events, help other guild members (especially the lower ones), and simply show an interest in making the guild a better place for
everyone. Also, posting on the message boards and having a general knowledge of game play (not over pulling in instances consistently, not causing wipes, knowing how to play your class, etc.) are good ways of showing that you have a higher interest in this guild.

3.3. Remember, those who you recruit are representing us, but also you personally. If for some reason you have a record of recruiting people who aren't the right material for the guild, you may be demoted, and your invitation priviledges evoked. Remember when recruiting, it's quality over quantity and we don't want to take just anyone off the street for the sake
of having members.

3.4. If you recruit someone who does not know how to role play, then it is your responsibility to take care of them. Either train them yourself, or ask for their removal from the guild. Remember to let all potential recruits know that we are a roleplaying guild, and if need be, explain what roleplaying is. You are only wasting your's, ours', and their time by recruiting someone who doesn't fit in the mold of this guild.

Misc. Stuff

Remember, folks, MMO's and Roleplaying is supposed to be fun. This is the most important rule. If for some reason, you're not having any fun, we encourage you to contact one of the Bishops or Deicide before simply leaving the guild. If you voice your concerns, we might be able to fix the problem, but if you keep quiet about it, the problem won't be solved.

These rules are ever-evolving, so they may change (things added or taken away) as the guild grows. Any changes to this guild charter will be posted on the main page of the website under the updates, so keep an eye out.

The Cult of Luukos reserves the right to kick anyone at any time from the guild. More often than not, the person will receive a warning prior to being kicked, however that is not 100% certain. If you follow the rules and show respect, you won't have any troubles in this guild.

HAIL LUUKOS!
