The forming of a Cult.
Volume II of the History of Luukos (version 2 revised August 19th
2006)
Written by Parasitic, Angerona & Deicide.
The battle of Luukos, with the followers at his side, and the
villagers had come to a horrific end. The blood of the villagers
stained the clothing and weaponry Luukos' party. In the fashion
of the Forsaken, Luukos and two of his new followers, Parasitic
and Deicide, began feasting on the flesh of the corpses. They
gorged themselves on flesh in a gluttonous frenzy while the three
other adventurers, Mujin, Angerona and Luiotreu, watched... all
still intoxicated by Luukos' power.
Later that night, as the adventurers slept, Luukos left the camp.
That morning when they awoke, they discovered Luukos vanished.
Some of the effects of Luukos' charismatic intoxication began
to wear off. This withdrawal effected Luiotreu especially more
than his fellow adventurers. Luiotreu felt remorse for what they
had done, where as the others felt only pride.
As the five began to make their way from the wilds back to civilization,
Luiotreu tried to convince his friends to tell the constables
of what had happened. He felt guilt, but the others were not interested.
Later, Luiotreu was elected to scout the wilderness ahead. While
he was gone, the other four conspired against him for his feelings.
They decided Luiotreu's weakness proved him unworthy of Luukos'
graces. Parasitic volunteered to be the one to end the life of
Luiotreu because they were like brothers. It would be more in
the image of Luukos to have his closest friend be the one to slay
Luiotreu, just as Luukos had butchered those closest to him.
Still several days away from civilization, Luukos' new followers
convinced Luiotreu that he was right and that they would immediately
go to the constables and inform them of what had happened. This
was only to lull Luiotreu into a false sense of peace. While Mujin,
Angerona and Deicide began to set camp it was decided that Luiotreu
and Parasitic would venture into the forest to collect fire wood.
The forest was lit only by the shine of the moon and stars.
Parasitic instructed Luiotreu to follow a path to the North while
he head to the West so they could both collect wood. Luiotreu
agreed and began to head North. Moments later Parasitic slipped
behind a tree and began using his uncanny talents to stalk Luiotreu.
He walked slowly, but did not need to move quick, because Luiotreu
periodically stopped to pick up a choice piece of wood. Parasitic
momentarily stopped to pull a vial of poison from his cloak pocket
and laced his daggers with the substance. He knew what was about
to happen. His long time friend is going to die in the name of
Luukos.
The stalking continued as Parasitic closed the gap between himself
and his target. Luiotreu all the while was oblivious to what was
about to happen. In one fell swoop Parasitic lunged towards Luiotreu
and ambushed his backside with a devastating blow of his poisoned
dagger, causing him to drop the firewood. Luiotreu screamed in
agony, loud enough for Mujin, Deicide and Angerona to hear. They
knew what had happened, it happened just like they discussed...
but it was not over yet.
Immediately after the first devastating blow, Parasitic held
his victim upright with his dagger still lodged in the back of
Luiotreu. Swinging his other dagger towards Luiotreu, Parasitic
caused a second devastating backstab. Luiotreu turned his head,
already near his death, to see who was attacking him. "Parasitic!"
he whispered in terrified surprise while his words slurred from
choking on his own blood.... "Para... why?!" Luiotreu
said with a look of fear and horror on his face. Just then Parasitic
cracked a grin while removing one of the daggers from his former
friend and proceeded to stick it in his abdomen just for fun.
This caused Luiotreu to drop forward. Parasitic removed both daggers
and spun around in a slashing motion, further opening the torso
of Luiotreu causing his entrails to spill out on the ground. Luiotreu
fell in a pool of his own blood The last thing he saw before taking
his final breath was the silhouette of Parasitic in the moonlight
smiling down upon him.
Parasitic yelled out, "For the honor of Luukos!" and
began to rip apart and eat the flesh of his long time friend.
He then sprinted back to camp, eager to tell Mujin, Deicide and
Angerona that the deed was completed.
Shortly after Parasitic arrived back at camp, their attitudes
were somber but not regretful. They did what needed to be done.
They dined that night under the moon light discussing what to
do next, no longer intending to head back to civilization. Before
they fell asleep, Luukos appeared from behind the trees. He never
really had left them, but instead followed them for the past few
days watching their actions. Luukos originally was not convinced
that they were worthy to remain alive.
Luukos said, "I came here to deal your judgment. I was unsure
if you five were to live or die. I was unsure if you were worthy
to remain with your organs intact within your bodies." The
four adventurers looked towards each other confused, because they
were instantly loyal to Luukos, but quickly learned you have to
earn Luukos' loyalty. Luukos went on to say "... I am still
not yet convinced that I should allow all of you to live. However
I will test your loyalty." At this moment, the four followers
lowered to their knees and bowed their heads towards the figure
before them.
Luukos' very presence radiated his power. You could almost feel
the air around him crackle with energy. The shadows danced around
him as if they were an extension of his aura. For a moment, Luukos
considered the gesture of respect that the four before him offered.
Contemplating for a few moments, Luukos finally spoke in a tone
that demanded further respect and fear. "You have yet to
prove your loyalty." Luukos surveyed the four still bowed
before him before speaking again, "You, priest, rise..."
The priest now known as Deicide rose and stood before Luukos,
but could not bare to look up at him. Frightened that his life
would be taken, he did not bother to speak either. Instead, Luukos
would do the talking. "You are a priest by calling, and you
shall be the one to spread my word. You shall convert and lead
the masses, you shall be my voice. You are the Voice of Luukos."
There ws a pause, nobody spoke. Luukos seemed to study the four
kneeling before him. "Your past gods are no more. The true
god of Azeroth now stands before you." Parasitic, Deicide,
Mujin and Angerona glanced at each other, in approval of Luukos'
words.
Taking a step back, Luukos speaks, "I shall now be leaving
you, but I shall forever be watching over you." Luukos mumbles
some words of incantation, never before heard by his new followers.
As he does, raw energy escapes Luukos and surges through his followers
like a bolt of lightning. After a moment of silence, Luukos again
speaks, "I will forever be in your minds. As my followers
you now have the ability to communicate telepathically with one
another. This is only a small portion of my blessing upon you."
It was at this moment at this spot that the very first initiation
ceremony had occurred. Luukos' Cult had been formed.
