Wrapper

The wrapper is the outside leaf or layer of the cigar, it is what holds the holds the cigar together. Usually the wrapper is made of a premium leaf. ranging in colors and tastes. The wrapper is a very important to the cigar's taste.

There are many different wrapper types.

 

Binder

Binder is a "filler" leaf mixed with the filler tobacco. Binder types vary from cigar to manufacturer and typically the cheaper cigars have more binder.

Filler

Filler primarily comes in two types: Long and short leaf. Long leaf filler is the whole tobacco leaf, while short leaf is usually scraps of tobacco leaf. Cigar filler is primarily responsible for how strong a cigar may be.
